Thymus Thump
I have read that tapping on your sternum (breastbone) can stimulate your thymus gland. When we were babies, our thymus was larger than our lungs! It shrinks as we age. It functions as part of our immune system. I’ve found that thumping it makes me feel a sense of happiness and joy. I think of this thumping action as a form of play and stress release as I thump three times saying, “Ha Ha Ha.” Pretty soon I am laughing and having fun. In the video, you’ll notice I get carried away with the thumping, as I remember Tarzan from my childhood days and then his chimpanzee, Cheeta, comes to mind. I think this video will make you laugh.
